I am obsessed with transgression, borderlines, and bodies. What does it mean to possess a corporeal form, and how does one reckon with the constraints and liberties of having one? Is it truly possible to liberate oneself from societal structures? How do subconscious ideologies operate behind conscious decisions? Through my novels I often establish characters who are disillusioned, frustrated, or desperate to create their own path. Inspired by writers like Joan Didion, Bret Easton Ellis, and Han Kang, I aim to discover what it means to live outside of the expected methods of conduct. My fiction also explores passion and artistry, incorporating musical and visual-arts motifs and themes. On the side, I write vignettes inspired by bizarre or whimsical interactions. My music journalism covers lesser-known, countercultural, usually electronic/hyperpop music. As of now, my only writerly goal is to just keep writing.
